The Bestialas is a free improvisation duo performance from Barcelona, building creative landscapes full of chromatic harmonics without any prejudice about any sound genre, adaptable to different musical and sound contexts. Brutal, energetic, surprising !  Each experience is unique!

bio:

Mireia Tejero, saxophone player, composer and performer, runs different multidisciplinary formations that emphasize the creative role of women.
Usual composer of the contemporary dance company Sol Pico (El llac de les mosques, La prima de chita, La dona manca o barbie superestar, Amor diesel, DVA, Del planeta basura, Razona a vaca, Spitbrides, etc...), as well as of the performing company Las Reinas (Si no fossis tu, seria jo, Metus, Breaking eggs and Las reinas de la calle).
She has led several women bands such as Las Gambas, La orquesta de Tacón and Alius; this last one is a national reference of avantgarde music.

She has created multiple performances as "Una asesina de saxos" (“A sax killer”), “La xocolata no engreixa” (“Xocolate doesn't make you gain weigth”), “Bidó” (“Jerrycan”), “Me gusta como me maltratas” (“I like how you mistreat me”), etc. and she has worked in all kinds of improvisations related to dance and music. She has participated in documentaries, videos and films as a composer and performer.

io casino, since the late eighties, is a sound and visual creator that has developed a wide range of works on artistic, visual, and sound  fields of experimentation. She has released 21 official records, collaborated on international compilations and on soundtracks for films. All of her work is self-produced. In the last years she has performed in France, Poland, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Switzerland, Italy, Argentina, Portugal, India and the United States.

She has collaborated with : Tim Hodgkinson, Francisco López, Zbigniew Karkovsky, Damo Suzuki, Mark Cunningham, Neil Leonard, Eduardo Polonio, Pelayo F. Arrizabalaga, Zush, Evru, EARZUMBA, Kasper T. Toeplitz, Xyramat, Gerhard Illi, Cat Hope, Victor Nubla, Pascal Comelade, Pau Riba, ... etc.  Support performer for: Sonic Youth, Faust, Gudrun Gut ...

These two are NOW involved on the creation of M.I.S. Orchestra, a cooperative and collective project.
